Films go full screen ahead

THESE are the first pictures of what the interior of Stroud's new £2.1 million cinema is likely to look like when it opens in November.

The six-screen facility will feature plush leather seating, a caf bar and state-of-the-art ticketing systems that owners Apollo Cinemas say will process a sale in seconds.

And these photos, taken from a similar cinema in Fareham, Hampshire, show the type of lighting, furniture and fixtures that will be seen by Stroud movie-goers.

"Everybody is getting really excited about it," said project manager Nick McKiernan.

"It is just a concrete shell at the moment - the fixtures and fittings will go in during the later stages of the process - but it is all very expensive kit."
