Men show soft side

THE LAD Lit Project, a show claiming to be doing for men what Bridget Jones has done for women, comes to Prema in Uley next week.

Men Behaving Badly hooked onto the strange world of the male mind and created a successful TV series from it.

Now Third Angel present a subtler blend of testosterone-loaded stories - stories of mates, of wanting to belong, stories about girls (mercifully brief), stories of sex, stories of love and of loss.

And it just goes to show that men have their soft side too.

The show challenges its audience to imagine the book of their life.

Where do the chapters begin and end? Do the friends from one chapter appear in the next? Do the chapters last for years, weeks or just a few hours?

The Lad Lit Project is about all this and more, a remarkable one-man performance.

The Lad Lit Project, a unique show combining the best of theatre, comedy and a night out with one's most entertaining mate, comes to Prema on Saturday, October 1 at 8pm. Tickets, priced £8 or £6 concessions, are available from the box office.
