Full line-up of laughs

JONGLEURS on the Road returns to the Stroud Subscription Rooms this week with over two hours of hilarious entertainment from four top comedians.

From the sunny side of Planet Twit comes the unique character comedy that is The Raymond & Mister Timkins Revue. They promise freakish entertainment on a twisted stick as the charismatically-challenged uncle/mute nephew co-operative invite you to enter their disturbing world of brushed velvet arousal.

They are joined by Simon Clayton, who has been a stand-up comic since the summer of 1995. On stage he talks about what he is - male, fat, mixed race, married, balding and anything else that currently makes him laugh.

Also appearing is Tom Stade, a Canadian comic who puts nothing out of his comedy range; no matter if the topic's obscure or familiar, the gag stupid or intelligent, bland or offensive - it's all encompassed in his wide-ranging act. He's happy to switch from a hack subject such as smoking dope to a joke that requires a working knowledge of relativity to understand.

Last, though not least, on the bill is Inder Manocha, a hot new talent recently seen in a television adaptation of Meera Syal's book Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee on BBC 1. Inder won the EMMA Best Comedy/Comedian award in 2004.

Jongleurs at the Subscription Rooms takes place on Thursday, November 24 at 8pm. Tickets for the show are £11. Groups booking 10 or more tickets will receive a voucher for £10 to spend at the bar and will have a table reserved for their party.
