FOREST GREEN go into next Tuesday's crucial home clash with Nigel Clough's Burton Albion (7.45pm) hoping to halt their alarming freefall.
Boss, Gary Owers is acutely aware that his side, rooted to the bottom of the league, are in desperate need of a victory.
He said: "We've got to get a win. It would have been nice to get a point at Aldershot. It would have given the players a bit of belief."
Owers' side slumped to their third consecutive defeat at Aldershot Town last Saturday. The agony of defeat was doubled when on loan striker Guy Madjo, who had earlier given Rovers an eight minute lead, was red-carded on 33 minutes for apparently kicking out at Heald. Aldershot were also dealt a blow with Tim Sills given his marching orders for allegedly elbowing Damon Searle.
Owers added: "The referee made some of the worst decisions I've ever seen in my life, there were no bad tackles in the game."
Paul Wanless should return for the clash with Burton after missing the Aldershot game with a chest infection.
*Forest Green will travel to Conference South Weymouth in the FA Trophy first round. The tie will be played on Saturday, December 17. *Former Forest Green manager Alan Lewer is the new assistant manager of Crawley Town. He will work alongside former Chelsea manager John Hollins. *Scott Rogers, on loan from Forest Green, struck one of the goals for Frank Gregan's Weston-super-Mare, who beat Bedford Town 4-0 in the FA Trophy.
