Good use for bad clothes

COMEDY socks and ill-fitting jumpers can be given a new home and raise money for a leading healthcare charity.

The Sue Ryder Care shop in George Street, Stroud wants your unwanted Christmas presents - no questions asked.

Rosemary Alder, shop manager, said: "We are well supported by the local community in Stroud.

"I have every faith that residents will rise to the challenge and pass on their unwanted Christmas gifts to us.

"We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for our care centres, including Sue Ryder Care Leckhampton Court Hospice in Gloucestershire, which offers care to people with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer.

"Everyone has one gift they did not really like but now they have the opportunity to turn that into something positive."

Donations can be delivered to the shop between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday.
