Yobs target disabled man's home

police have condemned vandals who attacked the home of a disabled Stroud man on two occasions.

The 23 year-old, who is recovering from spinal injuries, had been due to move into the address in Sunnyhill, Stroud, at the end of last month.

His family had been refurbishing the property for him when the louts struck.

The house was attacked on at least two occasions - during the evening of Tuesday, February 14 and between 1pm and 6.30pm on Friday, February 17.

On the first occasion a ground floor window was smashed while on the second damage was caused to the front door and doorframe.

PC Tim Griffiths, of Stroud police, said: "For whatever reason someone appears to be targeting this address and causing mindless damage to the property.

"The family of the victim are having an incredibly difficult time at present and the actions of these individuals are just adding to their problems.

"It is wrong for any person, regardless of their age, to have this happen to their home but when you are a young person coming to terms with being disabled things like this just make life even more difficult.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any knowledge of who is doing this to contact us as soon as possible."
