WHEN young mum Annabel Richmond took her kids to Stroud's bowling alley, she never imagined her 3-year-old daughter Lucy would end up glued to the toilet seat.
Mrs Richmond, 37, took Lucy and her brother Henry, 6, to Bowling International yesterday (Tuesday), as a half term treat.
As she had a bulky pushchair, she took Lucy to the disabled toilet - but as she tried to lift her up, Mrs Richmond was horrified to discover that vandals had painted super strength glue all over the toilet seat.
"I tried to lift her off and I couldn't. She was just screaming and screaming.
"I had this moment of blinding realisation when I saw the lumps on her leg.
"When I went inside there were pieces of paper stuck to the door and the mirror, but I didn't realise there was clear adhesive on the seat.
"It's just disgusting that anyone should consider that sort of thing as a practical joke.
"The bowling alley is supposed to be a place for children of all ages, but the kids are mistreating the place terribly.
"It's a disabled loo. They are targeting the most vulnerable people. Lucy was taken to hospital and has no serious injuries, though bother her and her mother are very shaken by the incident.
Bowling International director Richard Cave said the company was determined to catch the culprit.
"Obviously we very much regret the suffering this young girl and her family have gone through," he said.
"We are checking CCTV footage and have reported the matter to the police, and if we find out who's responsible we will take out a private prosecution if necessary.
"Clearly there is somebody out there with a very sick sense of humour."
Anyone with information should call Stroud police on 0845 0901234 quoting incident number 359.
