A FUNDRAISING gig has been organised at the Cotswold Playhouse to provide some much needed capital and put Stroud firmly back on the theatrical map.
Nationally-renowned folk groups will be performing on Saturday, April 22 at 7.30 p.m. to raise the cash needed for the renovation.
Strumming and hummining the evening away will be critically acclaimed band Late Licence.
They perform a wide repertoire and unique blend of traditional, contemporary and original material, both vocal and instrumental and have been invited to play at this years Stroud Fringe.
Sophie Lake, event organiser and band member is looking at filling the 155 seat capacity with the aim of raising around £1,000 on the night.

"In the end, the refurbishment will benefit everybody".
Also performing on the night will be contemporary singer/ song-writer Nathan King, well noted for the warmth and humanity in his music.
Husband and wife band 'Master of None' complete the line-up with Colin Sillence on vocals and guitar. The band released their debut album Childhood Sweetheart in July 2005.
