Stroud top the county

STROUD scooped the Gloucestershire Schools Rugby Under -15s District Championship at Hartbury College.

In the first match Stroud met some stiff resistance from a very determined Forest of Dean side.

Stroud's Luke Rapson was the pick of the team in this match where his tireless running set up two tries before scoring a very important try himself to gain a hard earned 15 - 5 victory.

The second match against Gloucester was a very physical affair between two aggressive sets of forwards.

Overwhelmed

Stroud eventually overwhelmed their opposition to run in comfortable winners by 20 points to 5 with Olly Steel putting in a gigantic performance for Stroud.

The last match against Cheltenham saw the Stroud team really displaying their talents in a 28 points to nil victory.

CREDIT must go to the school coaches, Andrew Wilson and Paul Hamblyn, for the way they have gelled the team together
