Always a special day in Nailsworth is the fourth Saturday of each month, when the Farmer's Market can be found in the Mortimer Gardens. And there is a Fairtrade coffee morning in the Mortimer Room. This month they will be on Saturday 28 March. Both regular events enliven an already enjoyable visit to the town centre.

Every Friday morning in the Mortimer Room you can find the Country Market. Full of home-made food and items for sale, the Market is open from 8.45am until 11am, and is well worth a visit. Once visited you are likely to become a regular.

There is still time to visit the Ark Arts Show. This runs until 21 March at the Old Boys' Club and is open from 11am until 6pm. The Art Show takes up the whole building with both two and three dimensional art and one using the moving image. Most of the works, by a group of local artists, are for sale. I have visited and there are indeed some excellent pieces. It is also an opportunity to view the interior of the Boys' Club which the enthusiastic committee hope to renovate.

On Wednesday 25 March at the Friends Meeting House on chestnut Hill there will be a Jewish Passover Workshop. Timed to start at 7pm you are invited to explore the traditions of this ancient Jewish festival as we participate in the highlights of a seder night.
