A CHARITY golf day at Minchinhampton's new course raised nearly £9,000 for family support charity Home-Start.
The money raised was from sponsorship, raffles and an auction, and more is expected from promises.
Local businesses like Global Knowledge and Debonhair in Nailsworth and Metalwash Ltd, of Chalford took part.
A team from Swindon-based Man Bus UK won the event.
It will be held next year on May 14 - anyone interested in playing or sponsoring a hole should ring 01453 832265.
