IN CELEBRATION of the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth, Live Wire Theatre Company bring their latest show A Christmas Carol – The Musical to the Cotswold Playhouse.
The story features the miserly Scrooge, whose encounters with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet-to-Come highlight the ugliness of personal greed.
Live Wire Theatre’s previous shows include Chauntelceer and Pertelotte, nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals 2009 and That Moment – Time Out Critic’s Choice of The Month 2010.
The show opens this evening (Wednesday) and runs until Saturday, with performances beginning at 7.30pm. The Cotswold Playhouse is on Parliament Street, Stroud. Tickets are available online: www.cotswoldplayhouse.co.uk/tickets or by phoning 0844 8700 887.
