WELSH rappers Goldie Lookin Chain head to Stroud Subscription Rooms this week as part of an exclusive run of dates.

Eleven years ago the tracksuit-clad collective stormed the charts with their 2004 hit Guns Don’t Kill People, Rappers Do.

A year later, they upset the Football Association of Wales by dedicating the song Your Missus Is A Nutter to Victoria Beckham at a Wales-England game.

And a year after that band member Maggot become a household name on Celebrity Big Brother.

Now the Newport nine-piece have released a brand new album, Greatest Hits 2, which includes the Youtube favourite Fresh Prince of Cwmbran, live classic Time and Space, drugs anthem No Joke, a drum and bass reworking of Your Missus Is A Nutter and the internet smash Baneswell Express.

The band are currently touring the album throughout the UK, and bring their infamous and totally infectious brand of hip-hop to the Sub Rooms on Saturday at 8pm.

Armed with their raucously high-octane live sets and random, numerous "get your mum on stage too" line-ups, GLC will play the controversial charting hits they are known for, plus a selection of party-starting material from their freshest LP.

Happy to be touring again, band member Adam Hussain said: “I’m pleased to be back on the road. It makes a nice change from playing Grand Theft Auto.”

uTickets £13 in advance, £16 on door from Stroud Tourist Information Centre on 01453 760900 or online at subscriptionrooms.org.uk.
