MANCHESTER punk pioneers, the Buzzcocks are to play in Stroud later this year.
The group, which still features original members Steve Diggle and Pete Shelley, is set to perform at the Sub Rooms on November 28.
Formed in 1976, these masters of the punk-pop single were the innovators of the DIY self-released record.
Cited as inspirational by bands as diverse as REM, Nirvana and Green Day, they have had eight studio albums, over twenty singles and EPs, a constellation of compilations, covers by other bands, and songs on numerous film soundtracks and advertisements.
The band will perform all their hits, including Orgasm Addict, What Do I Get?, Harmony In My Head, Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn’t Have Fallen In Love With)?, plus new material.
Tickets, at £21, are available from the Sub Rooms’ box office or online via www.subscriptionrooms.org.uk
