Top brass win for Chalford champs
CHALFORD Youth Band are National Youth Brass Champions again – four years after first winning the title.
Judges at were so impressed with their competition performance on Sunday night that they had no hesitation in putting them in top place.
The icing on the cake was best instrumentalist award for principal euphonium player Stephen Parker, whose solo As Long As He Needs Me wowed the judges and audience in the Royal Northern College of Music concert hall, in Manchester.
