GUITARIST Remi Harris, who has performed at Buckingham Palace and been a regular on the Jamie Cullum Show on BBC Radio 2, will take to the Sub Rooms’ stage to perform a mixture of gypsy swing, jazz and blues.

Remi, who releases his second album In on the 2 on June 24, has been described as “one of our best guitarists” by Just Jazz Magazine UK.

First picking up the guitar at the age of seven, the young musician took inspiration from Wes Montgomery, Eric Clapton and The Beatles. He went on to develop his skills as a jazz guitarist, touring not only the UK, but Australia, France, Norway and Italy.

In 2015 Cerys Matthews favoured a recent session of Remi performing live at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on her BBC Radio 6 show with multiple plays and following his performance on Jamie Cullum’s show, Remi’s album Ninick went to number 7 in the iTunes Top Jazz Albums Chart.

The Remi Harris Project will perform at the Sub Rooms in Stroud on Saturday at 8pm.
