GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S Festival Players have just embarked on their annual summer tour of outdoor Shakespeare performances.
And on Tuesday, June 7, the all-male troupe is heading for Minchinhampton, where they will perform The Bard’s famous tragedy, Hamlet, in the grounds of Beaudesert School.
Presented in full costume, the Players will bring the excitement of this great thriller: intrigue, ghostly visitations, passion, a play-within-a-play, a gripping duel, and humour, in a crystal-clear and fast-paced two-hour production.
The performance starts at 7pm, but the grounds will be open from 6pm for picnics. Audience members should bring their own seating and the play will move indoors if wet.
The event is a fundraiser for Horsfall House.
Tickets are available from Horsfall House on 01453 731 227 or via thefestivalplayers.co.uk
