FRESH from touring in the flatlands of Holland, Hattie Briggs returns to the hills of Gloucestershire for a performance this Friday.
The award-winning singer/songwriter from Ebley is bringing her Young Runaway tour to the Frog and Fiddle in Cheltenham.
Hattie launched her second album – due for release on July 9 – to a sell-out audience at the Sub Rooms at the end of March.
Track one from the album, her new single, Here’s to Hoping, has been receiving plenty of local airplay. Three of the 11 tracks are already available on iTunes and, for the first time, she will be stocked in record shops, including HMV.
At her Friday gig, Hattie will be accompanied by band member and Radio 2 Young Folk Award Nominee, Jack Cookson. Jack plays lead guitar, bass and harmonica, and the pair will also be joined on by the cellist Jasmine Scott-Neale.
At the beginning of July, Hattie will be heading off to play some summer festivals. She has also just announced that she will be starting a two-month tour of the US and Canada in September.
