VIOLINIST Angie Spencer and pianist Joshua Crunden performed a classical music recital for the residents of Resthaven at Pitchcombe Nursing Home last weekend.
This is the second of a series of recitals the duo are playing there.
Angie says: "We love taking our music to the residents of Resthaven – they are so appreciative and it is a lovely setting in the small chapel.
"This time we played Mozart’s E Minor Violin Sonata K 304 and Kreisler’s Liebeslied together, and Joshua performed Liszt Liebestraume no 3 for solo piano.
"We are grateful to Ulrike Dono, the activities co-ordinator who invited us. We will be going back in October – possibly with some Beethoven."
They aim to take these recitals out to other Nursing Homes over the next year.
As well as being an accomplished pianist and accompanist, Joshua is a gifted violinist, and both play violin with the Stroud Symphony Orchestra and the Capriol Chamber Orchestra.”
