Roots superstate Natty will appear a the Sub Rooms in Stroud this weekend, supported by up and coming Strou performer Emily Musto.

Hailing from North London Natty grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of sounds from Neil Young to Bob Marley.

Although interested enough in music to write songs from an early age it was while working in Sphere Studios, Battersea that discovered his talent.

By day he was engineering for some of the biggest names in pop music, and by night this gave him the inspiration to nurture his own sounds.

Soon he gained a devout following from his open mic sessions and Vibes and Pressure nights which have seen the likes of Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, Wretch32 and Dawn Penn perform.

The success of his debut album Man Like I captivated the well deserved attention of the UK media and press and established Natty on the international festival circuit.

TV Highlights include performing on Later with Jools Holland, ITV News and the BBC Electric Proms.

During his career he has also collaborated with Nitin Sawhney, Roots Manuva, Tony Allen, Busy Signal and many more.

Natty’s highly anticipated second album ‘Release The Fear’, a future-roots, concept album that takes us on a journey through love, redemption, self-identity and unity.

Natty produces an eclectic collection of tracks that remind us why he is so unique in today’s music scene, he moves effortlessly from roots reggae to driving digital productions, from intimate love songs to rousing calls to arms.

His intelligent music breaks the mould: providing captivating social commentary but with an acute eye for those personal moments that shape our lives.

Natty’s talents are as varied as his influences – as a multi-instrumentalist, a producer, a singer songwriter, he has all the tools at hand to bring his musical imagination to life.

His support is Emily Musto who brings soulful and meaningful messages with the creative use of a loop station. Her music is a mixture of hip hop, soul and reggae and has played at The Marshall Rooms and Stroud Fringe over the last few years.
