Jessica Alba said she chooses her roles carefully now she's a mother
Jessica Alba has revealed that she has become pickier about her film roles since becoming a mother.
The 31-year-old, who has two daughters - four-year-old Honor and Haven, two - with husband Cash Warren, admitted she also tries to spend more time at home and less on set.
"I used to work 11 to 12 months a year on location and now I don't. The roles that I take, certainly I bring them with me, but I don't do as much. I'm much pickier about the roles that I accept," she told Collider.
Jessica, who has lent her voice to a villain in animated space adventure Escape From Planet Earth, said she enjoyed portraying a baddie.
"I got to be crazy. They definitely edited me down. I really liked the idea of playing a villain because I've never played one," she said.
She is also glad to be a positive role model for the younger generation by playing strong female roles.
"The women are much stronger than they used to be. They're not really the damsels in distress any more," she said.
"More and more I've seen that women are being portrayed like that, especially when it comes to entertainment that's geared towards young people," she added.
