COTSWOLD artist Nick Handover is keeping it in the family with his next three-day exhibition at Somerford Keynes Village Hall from Friday, May 29-Sunday, May 31.

For the first time, Nick, who holds an annual show, will be sharing his exhibition with his talented eldest and youngest daughters Susi Harris and Lucinda White.

“Both are extremely talented and it seemed like a good chance to exhibit at the same time,” Nick explained.

The exhibition will have something for everyone’s taste.

Nick said: “People will see a real mix at this show. Susi works in charcoals, Lucinda in mixed media with water colours together with pastels and I am doing mainly oil colours, but with a few water colours.”

He continued: “Susi has been painting on and off for a long time, but has never tried to sell any of her work, even though it is extremely good. So this is new ground for her.

“Lucinda has only started painting very recently after having a very brief level of instruction, which was enough to tell her that she liked doing the mixed media. She is also extremely talented and has sold her first painting within the last two or three months and for a very reasonable three figures.”

Visitors to the exhibition will also see a mix of subject matter, with both women using wildlife as their main inspiration, and Nick preferring landscapes.

*The exhibition is on Friday, May 29, Saturday May 30 and Sunday, May 31 at Somerford Keynes Village Hall, Water Lane, Somerford Keynes from 10am-6pm.
