OPERA BRAVA return to The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester this weekend and there are still some tickets available.
Now in its 27th year, Opera Brava has assembled a cast of young and excitingsingers mixed with some international artists who perform in major opera houses including English National Opera and The Royal Opera House.
Their operas are fully staged and sung in English.
This is Opera Brava’s second year at The Royal Agricultural University.
On Friday, July 31 there is A Candlelit Opera Gala and on Saturday, August 1 Carmen will be performed.
Both operas start at 7.30pm.
The Candlelit Gala promises to have something for everyone. The first half includes the "Lakme" duet, the "Pearl Fishers" duet, "Rigoletto quartet" and many others; whilst the second half offers something a little different and special with a West Side Story medley, Lehar, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gershwin melodies and a popular medley from the Gilbert & Sullivan operas.
Carmen has captivated audiences over the decades and is rich in operatic hits such as the Habanera and The Toreador’s Song.
