A CIRENCESTER punk metal band are celebrating the release of their first CD.
Opusweed have had a packed calendar since their formation in 2013, with bookings coming in for several festivals and gigs around the UK.
And this summer they released their debut EP Where Are You Now? which has sold 150 copies so far.
Manager of the band, Sue Cottrell was thrilled that the group has unleashed their first CD on the public and that so many copies have been sold.
“I am over the moon for them - they are so talented in what they do,” she said.
“I think the CD IS appealing to all ages. Take the time to listen to it because the reviews from people that have bought it have been amazing and it has been loved by everybody.”
And not content with performing relentlessly and releasing their first CD for the future the band has more big plans ahead.
Sue explained that the band is working towards releasing a CD of their own material and marketing Opusweed t-shirts, with the help of their sponsors Websorceress.
You can buy Where Are You Now? on the group’s www.opusweed.com website.
