AN EXHIBITION of work by Janice Frape is showing at Stroud's Lansdown Gallery until Saturday.

Janice has titled the collection of paintings, illustrations and ipad drawings 'Colourful Imaginings'.

“I have always made pictures. Making pictures has always been my solace," she said.

"As a child and an adult the process has taken me to a place that is all my own, where the pressures of life can settle and take a back seat, whilst my imagination takes me on a different journey.

"I hope too that my love of creating other visual worlds helped me to unlock and reach some of the troubled children that I taught during my working life.

"I also love to look at other people’s pictures. My tastes are broad, including the Pre-Raphaelites and David Hockney. I love pictures that tell stories and I love colour.”
