TOP talent from the British comedy circuit, including Dane Baptiste, Carl Donnelly, Ed Gamble and Nish Kumar are among the stand out stand-ups heading for the Cornbury Music Festival at Great Tew near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire this July.

Known for his distinctive stage persona and his take on all life’s irritations Friday headliner Dane Baptiste (Seann Walsh’s Comedy Spectacular, Live from The Comedy Store, Live at the Apollo) is a show not to be missed.

Carl Donnelly (Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, The Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin Comedy Podcast) started his career scooping awards, quickly becoming one of the UK’s most exciting young comedians.

He’s been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award twice and has travelled the world performing comedy festivals. Catch him at Cornbury on Saturday, July 9.

Ed Gamble (Russell Howard’s Good News, Dave’s One Night Stand, Virtually Famous), best known for presenting The Peacock and Gamble Podcast and as the lead in BBC America’s first original comedy commission, Almost Royal, is soon to appear in Greg Davies popular sitcom Man Down. He comes to Cornbury on Sunday, 10 July.

Host of BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack Nish Kumar (The Now Show, Live at the Comedy Store, Have I got News For You, Russell Howard’s Stand-up Central) will also be gracing the Berk’s Nest Stage this year on Sunday, 10 July.

Festival goers can also look forward to innovative character comedian Kieran Hodgson, New Zealand’s finest Rose Matafeo and ‘suave dork’ Phil Wang, as well as sketch groups Daphne & Good Bear, Cornbury favourite and Oxford local Ivo Graham, fellow rising stars Pierre Novellie, Jayde Adams, Emma Sidi and hosts Fin Taylor, Patrick Turpin, Jack Barry.

These comedy acts join All Saints, Bryan Ferry, Seal, James Morrison and Jamie Cullum at the Great Tew Estate near Chipping Norton.

Cornbury Music Festival has something for everyone with great music, delicious food and a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere.

As well as four stages there is a creative kids zone, a traditional funfair, an exclusive VIP area and campsites nestled in the estate’s rolling hills.

This year’s comedy tent is masterminded by the dynamic, independent production company and promoter Berk’s Nest.
