THE Bacon Theatre at Dean Close School opens its doors to Teddy Boy and Teddy Girl wannabes wishing to boogie the night away to the all-singing and all-dancing stage show Summer Dreaming on Thursday, June 23.

Summer Dreaming pays homage to a bygone era when Elvis was King and all a girl dreamed about was becoming Prom Queen.

This fully choreographed, highly interactive roller coaster ride will celebrate iconic music from the movies, musicals and pop sensations of the 50’s & 60’s.

Audiences are invited to relive the good old days with the Summer Dreaming gang as they travel back to a time of jiving, soda shops and high school hops, featuring the music of The Shangri-Las, Frankie Avalon, Connie Francis, Elvis, Neil Sedaka, Peggy Lee, The Drifters, Patsy Cline, Ben E King, The Temptations, Lulu, Bill Haley, Nancy Sinatra and more.

Jess Waterman from The Bacon Theatre said: “Summer Dreaming is a fully interactive extravaganza featuring authentic costumes and iconic dance moves, so be prepared to find your inner Teddy Boy, or Girl, and sing along.

"Plus, fancy dress is highly recommended!”

Summer Dreaming features the smash hits: Hopelessly Devoted, Grease is the Word, You’re the One That I Want, Run Around Sue, Fever, Jailhouse Rock, Shout, Johnny B Goode, Stand By Me, Whatever Will Be Will Be (Que Sera, Sera), Tequila, Sandy, Twist Again, The Locomotion and many more summer hits.
