THIS weekend there will be a free family event near Bourton-on-the-Water to get children exploring the outdoors.
The event, called ‘Love Your Landscape’, will take place at the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust site of Greystones Farm from 12-4pm on Saturday, June 25.
The idea is to get local people to engage with all the different layers of the Greystones landscape and explore the story from prehistory through to the Iron Age and today’s modern farming.
There will be a chance for families to make their own Iron Age pots, build mini roundhouses, try soil coring and augering, see a robot milking machine on a modern dairy herd, have a go at whittling tools, cooking, wildlife face painting and lots more.
