  • RURAL Cinema at the Corinium Museum presents Sully: Miracle on the Hudson at 2.15pm, admission £5, concessions £5. Tom Hanks stars in this thrilling portrait of heroic airline pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, re-enacting his incredible successful emergency landing of an Airbus A320 full of passengers on the Hudson River.   • LUCY Abel Smith, an author from Quenington, will be holding a talk about her new book, Transylvania: The Greater Târnava Valley which is home to an exceptional cultural heritage of Romanian, Hungarian, Saxon, Jewish and Roma people in some of the most stunning landscape in Europe. Begins at 6pm at The Ox House, GL54 3EG. Lucy will talk about her book, which takes as its focus the towns and villages of the Greater Târnava Valley, home to an exceptional cultural heritage.   • INSPIRED by the life of Nina Simone, Apphia Campbell presents Black is the Color of my Voice which follows a successful jazz singer and civil rights activist seeking redemption after the untimely death of her father. This sell-out success at the Edinburgh Festival comes to Quenington Village Hall, Saturday, February 25 at 7.45pm. Refreshments served from 7pm.

  • TOY & Train Fair at the Bingham Hall from 10am-3pm. Around 60 dealers will be on site offering a diverse range of toys, games, figures, models and collectables from the past 100 years and there will be advice service from valuers. Entry £2, under 16s free, refreshments served.
