THE Eclectic String Band's spring concert will be held at St Mary’s Church, North Woodchester at 7-30pm on Saturday, April 1.
The concert will feature the Capriol Suite by Peter Warlock, Abdelazer by Henry Purcell and a selection of folk and traditional music arranged for string orchestra.
Cirencester String Orchestra was formed approximately 14 years ago by Ann Theil and has been recently renamed as the Eclectic String Band to reflect the wide range of music performed.
It has attracted players from most of the towns and villages in Gloucestershire and has grown in size to 25 players. The orchestra will be conducted by Ann Theil and the leader is Steve Jones.
- 7.30pm. April. Tickets at the door. Adults £5, accompanied children free. Refreshments will be available
