FOLLOWING last year's sold out, 10th anniversary celebration, the Cheltenham-based, 2000trees Festival have announced their second wave of acts for this summer's event.

The festival, from July 6-9, will feature The Wonder Years, The Front Bottoms, Beach Slang, Black Peaks, Gnarwolves and Sløtface to name just a few.

They join previously announced co-headliners Slaves and Nothing But Thieves as well as a host of other acts including Pulled Apart By Horses, Jamie Lenman, Feed The Rhino and Black Foxxes.

Will Gardner of Black Peaks said: "Without a doubt 2000trees has to be one of our favourite UK festivals here at camp BP. We have had the most unbelievable experiences playing there over the years and have worked our way up through the ranks.

"Now to be asked to come back and play the main stage at trees is not only a privilege but an honour. We have always felt so very at home with 2000trees, be it with the other bands, the incredible audience or the crew working there, we always feel like a gigantic family whenever we are there."

Festival organiser James Scarlett said: “We had a phenomenal 10th anniversary last year. The atmosphere was so special and the feedback was just incredible, so it was always going to be a tough task to top that, but all our efforts have gone into doing just that and we are unbelievably excited for 2017.

"As a 100 percent independent festival, we have always sought to maintain the intimate, friendly and fun vibe that sets smaller events apart and we are growing organically with amazing ideas in the pipeline to help 2000trees Festival to really flourish as one of the best small festivals in the UK.”
