THE Plantagenet Medieval Society are holding a re-enactment weekend in Cirencester’s Abbey Grounds on Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29 as part of the Abbey 900 events.
This free event will kick off with a Plantagenet Parade at 12pm on both days from the Abbey Grounds and around the town.
At 12.30pm there will be Squire training (learn to use real weapons under the supervision of the Master of Arms) and at 1.15pm there is a chance to dress up as a knight.
The Cirencester Community Choir will sing on Sunday at 1pm.
The Ladies Dance will be at 2pm, with participation dancing.
Other activities include brass rubbing and a living history display.
