WHEN drawn in from across the road by the flowers hanging down in the entranceway, visitors to Cirencester Parish Church are met with a historic building absolutely brimming with life.

It feels unexpected to see such colour filling the vast grey floors of the church. The contrast between the enduring monument of the stone and the fleeting beauty of the blooms is striking, but perfectly complimentary.

The exhibition, very aptly named the 'Circle of Life,' is a fascinating journey through key moments of human existence, which have survived the passage of history.

The arrangements take us from where it all begins at the baptismal font, through the joys of life such as weddings, before we reach the final voyage that we all must face in death.

And through it all, for centuries, it is this church that has been the thread linking all these stages for the people of Cirencester.

Make sure to wander in before the festival ends on Sunday.
