THERE'S a celebration of all things French in the latest of the series of Abbey 900 musical events at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester on Friday, July 14 from 7pm.

The event will feature music from Les Miserables, Edith Piaf, Faure, Delibes and more with choir members, soloists and Cirencester’s very own flute choir Tutti Flutti led by Clemency Rubinstein.

As well as the music there’s a range of wine and food to try and to buy and proof that you don’t always have to go to France to sample great cheese, baguettes, saucissons and charcuterie.

Local supplier Simon Weaver’s organic Brie, local sausages and local charcuterie will all be available.

The ticket price includes a glass of wine and a gourmet hot dog or vegetarian quiche for non-meat eaters.

The evening will start at 7pm and finish at 9.30pm with a silence for the people of Nice who were killed in a terror attack on July 14 2016.

After the silence the choir and audience will be singing the French national anthem “La Marseillaise”.

Clive Hook of ClearWorth said: "We want to reinforce the solidarity we feel with people affected by these terrible incidents. To this end, although our theme is French, every ticket will now include a donation to the UK Solidarity Fund set up by the British Red Cross to help victims of the Manchester and London attacks”
