CIRCUS Funtasia has returned to Yate this week, after a great reception last year. They bring with them a new production of gravity-defying performances, comedy and rollerskating, alongside the circus staples of juggling and tightrope walking.
“Our all-human show is very contemporary, with modern music and fast-paced comedy,” ring-mistress Tracy explained. “We don’t use animals because we prefer to focus on the incredible energy our acts bring.”
Audiences are warned to brace themselves as four motorcycle riders present a terrifying finale.
The producers have thought of all ages, with candy floss and face-painting for the young and young-at-heart, and a bar for more mature audiences.
This family atmosphere extends to the show, with the youngest performer, Nia Nikolova Jones, just thirteen years old. "I love being in the circus because we’re like one big family who look out for each other,” she said.
The show runs twice daily at Yate Town Football Club until Sunday.
