  • COLOURFUL Creations, an exhibition of work by Sian Summerhayes at the Corinium Museum, Park Street until September 3. Featuring original paintings, giclee prints, hand-painted jewellery, homewares and hanging ornaments. Free admission.
  • ROMAN Soldier on a Stick. Family drop-in with James Harris, at the Corinium Museum, Park Street,  10-11am. Roman soldiers had special kit which they bought themselves. Create your own Roman soldier on a stick to take home. Suitable for ages 3 and above.

Malmesbury

  • ABBEY 900 Festival, Abbey Walk at 12noon. (Free, but a donation would be welcome to the Abbey 900 Legacy Fund.) Meet by LEGO Abbey build in the Parish Church. South Cerney

  • THE 102nd Annual Flower Show from 2pm to 5pm. Traditional village show set in thatched roofed converted barn, aka South Cerney Village Hall in School Lane. Flowers, vegetables, photography, cookery, wine, handicrafts and children’s exhibits. Home made refreshments available. Also tomorrow, Sunday, from 11.30am to 4.30pm.

Sunday, August 6

Malmesbury

  • CARNIVAL and Festival Open Gardens. A variety of lovely gardens throughout Malmesbury between 1.30pm and 5.30pm. Collect a map from the Tourist Information Centre or from a garden on the day. Tickets £6 on the day from one of the gardens, children free.

Quenington

  • CAR BOOT boot sale at 11am on the green. £5 per car to sell. All proceeds to local charities. No need to book just turn up.

  • ABBEY 900 Book Week until Friday, August 11, Octavia’s Book Shop, Black Jack Street. £1 (per person) on the door, which will be donated to Abbey 900.

Malmesbury

  • MOUNTAIN Adventures, a Carnival and Festival event.
