WORLD-renowned illustrator Rodney Matthews will be exhibiting his 'Alice in Wonderland and other Tales' in Bourton-on-the-Water this month.

Suitable for adults and children alike, the stunning exhibition will be held at the Victoria Hall.

Between August 18 and 21, from 10.30am-5pm daily, join Rodney himself for a journey through classic stories like you've never seen them before.

An array of full-colour originals, pencil sketches, fine art prints and souvenir gifts will be on display and available to purchase.

Rodney will be delighted to answer questions, or sign autographs.

With a career spanning over 50 years, Rodney is one of the world's foremost illustrators of the fantasy genre.

He first became recognised worldwide in the 1970s, selling millions of images in poster format.

In the 1990s, Rodney’s passion for animation saw him completing Lavender Castle, a 26 episode major children's series, incorporating stop-motion model animation and CGI.

And in 2005, he contributed concept designs for The Magic Roundabout film. Rodney has even supplied concepts for computer game animation.

The much-loved English comedic actor and writer John Cleese is one of Rodney's greatest fans. He owns the original painting of 'At the March Hare's Table' (pictured above), which is included in Rodney's own illustrated collectors' version of the tale.

"Rodney Matthews is generally acknowledged to be among the greatest artists that have ever lived. Need I say more?

"Please buy this book, and all his other works, because then my immense collection of stuff will become even more valuable. Especially when he dies," John Cleese joked.
