THE Cirencester Christmas Spectacular returns in December for the third year running and is promising to be an even bigger extravaganza than before.
Each year, the event plays host to some of the finest talent the West End has to offer.
The brainchild of Barn Theatre’s artistic director, Iwan Lewis, this year’s Spectacular will for the first time take place in the atmospheric setting of Cirencester’s Parish Church.
This theatrical variety extravaganza, produced by Barn Theatre, will showcase Cirencester’s amazing local talent alongside some incredibly special guests to be announced.
Last year, the popular local event sold out within 24 hours. The Christmas Spectacular will also celebrate the release of A Song for Cirencester in association with Cirencester Town Council.
Iwan Lewis said: “The Cirencester Christmas Spectacular is my favourite event of the year. It always marks the beginning of the festive season for me. I love seeing the West End stars performing with our local talent and the fact that it brings the whole community together.
“In the approach to the opening of The Barn Theatre, this year’s event feels all the more poignant as it’s a chance to give them a taster of what’s to come once we open next year.”
In previous years The Christmas Spectacular has showcased the talents of West End stars from hit musicals and shows including Phantom Of The Opera, The Grinning Man, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables, and Calamity Jane.
This year promises to be another star studded evening with performers to be announced shortly.
- The Cirencester Christmas Extravaganza is on December 6 at 7pm. Tickets from barntheatre.org.uk
