THE Capriol Chamber Orchestra will welcome Hannah Brooks-Hughes, winner of the 2017 Gloucestershire Young Musician competition, as soloist in their summer concert at Minchinhampton Parish Church, on Saturday, June 9 at 7.30pm.

The orchestra presents a Romantic programme - Mendelssohn’s Hebrides overture and the Bruch Violin Concerto no 1, performed by Hannah Brooks-Hughes.

Drinks will be served in the interval and the evening concludes with Bizet’s exuberant Symphony in C, composed when he was just 17.

The Capriol Chamber Orchestra is based in Stroud and rehearses monthly at Marling School.

It is conducted by Jonathan Trim, with leader Steve McDade.

Tickets are available in advance £10/£8 from orchestra members or the Tourist Information Office in the Subscription Rooms, or £11/£9 on the door.

Children under 16 free.
