TICKETS are now on sale for Tetbury Music Festival, which sees some of the finest musicians perform by candlelight in the stunning acoustic of St Marys' Church, Tetbury.

Now in its 15th year, the 2018 festival will celebrate young and established talent, with performances from a selection of outstanding artists.

The clarinettist Julian Bliss and his Septet will open the 2018 festival on September 29, with a special improvisatory programme that bridges classical and jazz. Later in the festival, the celebrated young pianist Benjamin Grosvenor will make his Tetbury debut, performing a selection of piano masterpieces that span three centuries.

Also on the 2018 programme is a special performance from longstanding star of the opera world, Sir Thomas Allen. Together with pianist Stevie Higgins, Sir Thomas will share stories from his career and perform works by Cole Porter, Gershwin, Sondheim and Weill, in an intimate and relaxed setting.

Other highlights from the 2018 festival include violin and piano duo Matthew Trusler and Ashley Wass’ welcome return to Tetbury, an exploration of Beethoven’s musical journey with The Dante Quartet and actor Kevin West, and a lecture on the evolution of performance by Professor Margaret Faultless.

Bringing the 2018 festival to a close, the Instruments of Time and Truth perform Handel’s invigorating oratorio, The Triumph of Time and Truth, together with The Oxford Consort of Voices and soloists, conducted by Edward Higginbottom.

Tetbury Music Festival runs from September 29-October 7.
