TETBURY is holding its popular annual Summer Show at the town's Memorial Recreation Ground on Sunday, August 12 and organisers are promising a great day out for all the family.

The show will feature a vibrant and colourful parade through town, starting at 12.45pm at Long Street, led by the Bristol Pipes and Drums. It will also include samba band Ghia Chia, Tetbury Hospital, Trigger the Land Train, The Pink Ladies and Dolphins Dramatic Society.

The Mayor of Tetbury, Sandra Ball, will also be part of The Parade and will arrive in style in a classic Ford Mustang. The parade will arrive at the show ground at the Memorial Recreation Ground at 1pm.

One of the organisers, Terri White said: "It really is a family event and very affordable. It is very much loved by Tetbury. The Show goes back to the old values. It is popular with people of all ages. There will be all sorts of different activities including this year a Dog and Duck show that will have people enthralled."

It also incorporates the Tetbury Flower Show. Flowers, vegetables and crafts will be displayed and judged in the Marquee and officially opened by the Mayor, opening to the public at 1pm.

Terri said: "Leading up to the Show we have had a schedule out with all the categories. There is a lot for children for enter."

The recreation ground will be buzzing with a wide variety of stalls, a dog show, plenty of food and drink and a selection of rides and activities suitable for all the family.

Entertainer Professor Crump will be on hand with his distinctive top hat. "He is a real showman and a great entertainer," Terri explained.

Entry £2.50 for adults, £1 for 12-16 years, under 12 is free.

Plenty of parking. Car entry is via the Chavenage Lane entrance.
