ROMANTIC love and sibling rivalry will be explored in the grounds of Rendcomb College when The Riverside Players perform Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing from August 15-18.

Although a theme of love runs through the play, explored through some of the wittiest dialogue in Shakespeare, the play also has a very dark side - a plot to usurp a leader and ruin a marriage, deliciously foiled by the incompetent watch.

Director Jacky Davies said: "Much Ado About Nothing is Shakespeare at the height of his power as a playwright. The play explores eternal themes, but most especially it is a very modern in its exploration of love. It is this, I think, that makes this one of his most popular plays."
