PHOTOGRAPHER James Boosey is currently showing his photography at the Stroud House Gallery as part of the Geography exhibition.
His work, entitled A Darker Side of Light, features some uncharacteristic images of the Stroud area. James will be sharing tips on how to take unfamiliar images of familiar views at a workshop aimed at local amateur landscape photographers. It will start this Saturday and conclude next Saturday, May 10.
"I live in Stroud and I am keen to promote the potential of local landscapes to provide unusual and original photographs not associated with the traditional Cotswold scene," he said.

"The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is therefore a choice location for photographers. Unfortunately, this also means that many of the photographs produced are not very original.
"I would like to help aspiring local photographers explore the greater potential of this area for original and insightful images that are removed from the established cliques of the region."
The course costs £25. For further information call Lyn Cluer-Coleman at the Stroud House Gallery on 750575.
