Amongst the chief attractions will be Yorkshire poet, comedian and broadcaster Ian McMillan, with his own orchestra (Saturday), and tomorrow, Thursday, will see a May Day Comedy Extravaganza at the Five Valleys Leisure Centre, headlined by comedian Bob Mills. On a more serene note, musician and composer Craig Pruess will be offering the Sacred Sounds of the Sitar at the Matara Centre, Kingscote, tonight (Wednesday). Finally, film director and local resident Sir Richard Eyre will be present at the screening of his acclaimed film Notes on a Scandal with Cate Blanchett and Dame Judi Dench, and he will answer questions after the screening (Friday).
