A 97-YEAR-OLD woman from Frampton on Severn has put pen to paper and published her life story.

Through her book, Arrivals and Departures, Aine Branting talks of her childhood in Germany and her experiences during wartime.

Her husband was selected for Hitler's army and died soon after but courage and determination got Aine and her young daughter through the rest of the war before they started a new life in Australia and then the UK.

Aine, a resident at Wisma Mulia care home, will be signing copies of her book at the Paula Hallett Trust charity shop in Stonehouse High Street on Friday from 10.30am to noon.

Copies of Arrivals and Departures (priced at £10) will be available to purchase on the day or from Monica Jones on 01452 741421.
