TIME to dig out your hippie gear man for Goodwill Evening. Flares and flowers will be in abundance around Stroud tonight for the Make Love Not War theme.

There's a fantastic line up of activities throughout the evening for all ages.

Snow Business will be trying out its biggest ever snow machine outside the Sub Rooms when the evening officially starts at 6pm.

This is the starting point for the procession and we are hoping to see a big turnout of people carrying lanterns and flowers and dressed in 60s hippie clothes.

Remember there will be road closures so come into town early and have a look at what the town's shops have to offer for Christmas this year.

There's a great competition on offer for the best outfit too.

All you have to do to win a meal at Stroud's newest restaurant, Bella Luna in Gloucester Street is pop along to the Kodak shop in Kendrick Street and have your picture taken.

All the pictures will be judged and the outfit deemed to be the best will win this fabulous prize.

Pop along to the Stroud News & Journal stand outside the C&G in the High Street and help support our James Dwight Appeal.

The SNJ has been helping to raise funds for nine-year-old James this year who suffers from Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy which makes it impossible for him to walk unaided.

So far through your generosity the fund now stands at £14,000.

This little boy's family desperately need £35,000 for him to undergo a procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

This combined with physiotherapy will help James take his first steps towards independence.

We want to give James the best Christmas present ever. Please help us by donating on the night.

SNJ staff will be selling home-made cakes and second hand books to help raise funds and we will also be giving away Highland toffees.

Why not enter the SNJ Quiz for the chance to win £25 to spend at Mills Kitchen Shop. There's a £15 second prize for Trading Post and £10 for the third winner to spend at Kitsch.

Just name the six famous Stroud Valley faces in the above picture and hand in your entry to the SNJ staff on the night.

Entry is free but a dontation to James' appeal would be much appreciated. Cheques and cash can be given on the night or sent to the SNJ offices at 6 Lansdown, Stroud or visit JustGiving: www.justgiving.com/jamesdwightswishtowalk. Donate by text JAMD47£ (amount) to 70070
