A NURSE at a Rodborough care home has been struck off after having sexual intercourse with a vulnerable female patient and inviting another to swingers' parties.

Trevor Rice, a senior triage mental health nurse at Park House Mental Health Resource Centre, was formally removed from his post by a Nursing and Midwifery Council disciplinary committee on November 23.

The committee heard that between September 2008 and July 2009 Mr Rice engaged in inappropriate relationships with two patients.

He slept with 'Patient F' and tried to have sex with 'Patient C', whom he invited to parties.

Mr Rice, whose role at Park House was to help and support people with mental health problems, denied the allegations. He had been dismissed from the care home before the hearing.

Thirteen charges which constituted failing to maintain professional boundaries were proved. Three charges were not proved.
