A MAN who carried on supplying heroin despite being caught by the police was jailed for three-and-a-half years on Tuesday.

Scott Plumley, aged 35, of Queens Road, Cashes Green, Stroud was arrested leaving flats in Sharpness in December 2011 with heroin on him.

He was given police bail but then in July last year police searched him again and found more of the drug, Gloucester Crown Court was told.

Plumley pleaded guilty to possessing diamorphine with intent to supply on December 1, 2011 and again on July 16, 2012.

He also admitted possessing crack cocaine on the second occasion.

The basis of Plumley's guilty plea was that he was not going to supply all the drugs - some were for his own use and the rest would have gone to people he knew, said Steve Young, for the defence.

Mr Young also handed the court three references which he said showed that Plumley is a 'very nice man' who was a qualified electrician.
