A NEW chapter has opened for book lovers across the county with the launch of a new mobile library service.

The new arrangement, which was introduced in December, give people in rural areas of the county a range of library services - from providing books and information to accessing the internet.

Cllr Mark Hawthorne, leader of Gloucestershire County Council, said: "With our network of static libraries, the virtual library and the mobile service, we feel that we have a comprehensive and flexible package of services for everyone in the county."

In February one customer who has visited the mobile library will win a Google Nexus tablet in a prize draw.

There are now 56 mobile stops across the county which each receive four weekly visits. To see when the mobile library will be visiting your area go to http://tinyurl.com/avo646q.
