Has Little Bo Peep lost one of her sheep in Stroud? This sheep was found wandering the streets of Lightpill last week
WENDY Lea is looking for a Little Bo Peep who may have lost one her sheep in Stroud.
Retired teacher Mrs Lea found a roaming ruminant standing by her front door in Lightpill on Friday.
Neighbours had spotted it nearby and tried to catch it when it ran into Mrs Lea's front garden.
"Apparently it has been wandering around the area for more than a week," said Mrs Lea.
"We have called the police and the RSPCA and contacted all the local farmers.
"We just want to find out who it belongs to. Someone must be missing it."
The Herdwick crossbreed was spotted running along Kitesnest Lane when it ran into Mrs Lea's front garden but firefighters had to be called when it got stuck in a hedge.
It was transported in a pickup truck to a nearby field where it has food and water.
The sheep is white with grey mottled markings and has a leather head collar and a tag on one ear.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting incident 314 of January 25.
